Basics About the 2022 Chevy Silverado HD

The coming year’s Chevy Silverado has impressive specs. There is a 2500 HD model and a 3500 HD model and you can’t go wrong with either one. The Silverado 2500 has a 6.6L V8 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. The Silverado 3500 also has a powerful 6.6L engine and durable wheels that are built to handle virtually any terrain.

Both models come packed to the brim with safety features, both standard with the truck and available as add-ons. The cargo space for both models is impressive, the Silverado 2500 offers a cargo volume of almost 70 square feet, and the 3500 offers just above 83 square feet. Both can seat up to six adults comfortably with plenty of head, leg, and arm room.

New and Unique Features

Camera Technologies

Four Hitch Views

The Hitch view allows you a close-up look of your hitch so you can line up your truck to a trailer with ease like never before. The Surround-view provides a birds-eye top-down perspective of your truck’s immediate surroundings. The Rear Top-Down view will allow you to see the clearance of nearby objects in relation to your truck bed. The Bed view will let you keep an eye on your cargo bed. This view also has a zoom function.

Six Driving Views

The Transparent Trailer view makes any compatible trailer see-through so you can clearly see cars behind it. The Front Camera view will assist you with parking by showing you a feed of the front of your truck with guidelines to help you. Pic-In-Pic Side view combines the Rear Side and Rear Trailer views. This is great if you don’t have a compatible trailer for the Transparent view.

The rear Camera Mirror offers a similar view to a normal rearview mirror but with added clarity and less obstruction. A Rear Trailer view can also be used on its own outside the Pic-In-Pic Side view. This view on its own will give you angle indicators and guidelines to take the stress off of maneuvering. The Inside Trailer view allows you to see your cargo contents. This is especially useful for transporting livestock or precious cargo.

Five Parking Views

The Rear Camera view is another great tool to help assist with parking and maneuvering. The display can add guidelines to help you see where to go. The Rear Side view covers both sides of the truck in a split-screen view. This camera will activate while in drive or reverse, and it will show a full screen of only the appropriate side when you put that side’s turn signal on The Silverado for next year has so much more than what we mentioned here.
